So, you're looking for ways to improve your studying. Here are 3 tips that can help you in your concentration, learning and retention.
Find a relaxing place to study that works for you.
This could be closing your door to limit noise, studying in a place where you can look out the window, studying outside in your backyard or at a park, and more. Everyone is different, so find something that works for you. Finding a place that helps you concentrate and relax will be helpful for your studying and learning.
Remember to take breaks!
If you feel like you're losing focus after working at something for a while, feel free to take a break and come back to it a few minutes later. A good way to implement breaks would be to set a schedule, where you work for a certain amount of time, go on a short break, and then come back and continue working.
Put your phone on vibrate or do not disturb mode.
Little distractions like the beep or notification of a phone can be distracting at times, causing you to lose some focus on what you're currently doing. For me, I like to set my phone away of arm's reach and on vibrate mode, so I don't feel as tempted to reach for it when I'm studying.
